Am in touch with Martyn Williams, and eager to assist with a ring-round of Tory MPs, as early as possible in advance of Tuesday 13 December. Call me on 07710 888064. The club has 120 members in Wimbledon, Kingston & SW London. Lobbying MPs myself, I am also encouraging JFYR's members to do so too. Seb Berry asked me to lend 'Juice From Your Roof' to the judicial review case which Solarcentury is bringing. Comment on Get campaigning by Billy Bob http://www.oursolarfuture.org.uk/support-solar/get-campaigning/#comment-182 Billy Bob Mon, 05 Dec 2011 14:10:08 +0000 http://www.oursolarfuture.org.uk/?page_id=490#comment-182 This is pretty inaccurate, you have not taken into account the savings on electricity (approx £250 -£300 with a £1000 feed in tariff rate) and the % increase in electricity over 25 years, or the export tariff, you have just concentrated on the feed in tariff. Also you are not taking into account the ability of putting into a cash ISA the £1000 feed in tariff that would attract 3% tax free, added every year by another £1000. I would be interested to see what the new figures are when you take account of the full picture. This is if we are looking at the complete financial befits and rate of return This is pretty inaccurate, you have not taken into account the savings on electricity (approx £250 -£300 with a £1000 feed in tariff rate) and the % increase in electricity over 25 years, or the export tariff, you have just concentrated on the feed in tariff.

Comment on Government’s 52% Feed-in Tariff cut would kill the UK solar sector “stone dead” by Andrew Bell http://www.oursolarfuture.org.uk/government%e2%80%99s-52-feed-in-tariff-cut-would-kill-the-uk-solar-sector-%e2%80%9cstone-dead%e2%80%9d/#comment-144 Andrew Bell Mon, 28 Nov 2011 12:19:11 +0000 http://www.oursolarfuture.org.uk/?p=604#comment-144 We're amongst the fortunate ones - we had out PV array installed in September. We are now self-sufficient in electricity taken on a yearly basis, even though of course we still pay for electricity when the panels aren't producing. But this move is surely the wrong direction. Don't ewe want more self-sufficiency, not less? Don't we want less carbon dioxide to be emitted, not more? Don't we want greater diversity in energy production, rather than greater centralisation? And shouldn't people's word mean something, even if it is the Government? We’re amongst the fortunate ones – we had out PV array installed in September.
